AA and ATL Odometer Inspections

Prior to leaving Japan the vehicles we purchase have their odometers scrutinised by an AA or ATL trained inspector. This is an intrusive process with a careful inspection of the speedo cluster looking for telltale signs of tampering. In some cases chassis numbers of vehicles can be checked on an Auction network database looking for any kilometer inconsistancies. At Devonport Car Co we believe this offers ourselves and our customers excellent insurance against potential 'Windbacks' which haunted the industry in the early days of used imports. Many of our vehicles arrive with Japanese service logs and Japanese Auction sheets (which show the km we purchased at). These documents are in most cases supplied with the vehicle when purchased along with your odometer certificate.
