We are members of this local club and have sponsored various events over the years including the stableford on ladies' and men's days and are the previous sponsor of the "hole in one" on the 10th. We have also sold cars to many Waitemata Golf Club members and to the club who purchased a Toyota Hiace Coach for the junior pennants transportation.

As keen golfers, it's important to us to help the local talent as well as our club. Craig Dixon is a young up and coming Waitemata Golf Club professional who we support by helping him with car costs and the car itself! We also promote him through Devonport Cars, giving vouchers for lessons with Craig to some of our lucky customers.

Takapuna Grammar |
At 500 metres from Devonport Cars, Takapuna Grammar is local enough to be next door! It is also the school Derek's daughters will attend in a few years time. We help Takapuna Grammar with various sporting events, the most recent of which was a sponsored golf day in 2005. This year (2006) we are sponsoring the "Golf Day" dinner on Thursday 3rd November at Waitemata.

We took on sponsoring Takapuna Grammar's Rowing Team in 2006. We currently sponsor their boat and look forward to being involved with them in the future.

Nicola Russell |
Nicola Russell is a local person in our community who is battling with cancer and has also lost her daughter recently. We have helped her out with a loan car for 10 mths. The community has really got behind her cause and have raised sufficient funds for Nicola to have the drug Herceptin, which is not currently funded by Pharmac. We wish Nicola well trying this drug. Recently with the help of her father in Ireland Nicola puchased a Honda CRV from us, which she loves. We also work to promote cancer awareness.

Recently Devonport Car Company helped Willy into a modern Daihatsu Mira which is more suited to his needs for his Graffiti removal business. Part of the deal includes a monthly petrol allowance to help Willy offer his great service at a competitive price. Need Grafitti removed? Who you going to call...?
