The Devonport Car Company, or Devcars to the locals, is conveniently situated (with masses of free parking) in Belmont, an equal distance between Takapuna and Devonport on Auckland’s North Shore. Our compact yard was established in 1995 and since has constantly averaged around 30 vehicle sales per month to a strong and loyal local client base.
The owner, Lewis Rowe, believes the business that has operated for over 20 years has earned a strong reputation for selling quality vehicles, and the many families and other repeat customers purchasing from them on a regular basis are a testament to that. You will be greeted by Lewis or one of his friendly and knowledgeable staff and one of our points of difference is that we are not ‘stereotypical’ car salesmen. Our business has been built on satisfied repeat customers, and we feel our advice and consultative approach sets us apart from the quick-turn mass import car yards, and the flick-it-cheap start-ups. We are people who genuinely love and understand cars, and love getting our customers into the right car for them. And none of us wear white leather shoes or gold chains!
Lewis and his team do most of the vehicle preparation themselves and every vehicle is purchased personally by Lewis from his suppliers in Japan or from quality local dealerships who work hard to find him exceptional vehicles.
